The EPDM Lap Sealant, the third part of Dicor's three-part roofing system, creates a secure, secondary seal along the roof's edges, air vents, vent pipes, and screw heads. This self-leveling sealant is compatible with EPDM, Dicor Diflex II, and Britek TPO Roofing, and it adheres firmly to a variety of surfaces, including aluminum, mortar, wood, vinyl, galvanized metal, fiberglass, and concrete.

Ideal for aftermarket use, the lap sealant is one of the highest volume products sold in RV stores today. To apply, the surface should be cleaned of all dirt, loose paint, rust, oil, and grease, and allowed to dry before applying the sealant using standard caulking equipment. In cold weather, the container should be warmed to room temperature before use.

The cure times for the lap sealant can vary depending on the temperature, but typically, it will skin over in 5 minutes, become waterproof in 4 hours, cure to 80% in 48 hours, and reach 100% cure in 30 days. The manufacturer's production date, which is located on the bottom of the tube, is not an expiration date, but rather the date of production. As long as the product is stored in a dry location and not exposed to extreme temperatures, it can last indefinitely.

The ideal storage temperature for the EPDM Lap Sealant is between 55 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. This versatile sealant is available in a 10.3-ounce tube and comes in a black color.
