Dicor's EPDM Lap Sealant, the third part of their three-part roofing system, creates a secure, secondary seal along the roof's edges, air vents, vent pipes, and screw heads. This self-leveling sealant is compatible with EPDM, Dicor Diflex II, and Britek TPO Roofing, and adheres firmly to a variety of materials, including aluminum, mortar, wood, vinyl, galvanized metal, fiberglass, and concrete.

The lap sealant is particularly well-suited for aftermarket use and is one of the highest volume products sold in RV stores today. To ensure proper application, the surface should be cleaned of all dirt, loose paint, rust, oil, and grease, and allowed to dry before applying the sealant using standard caulking equipment.

The cure times for the lap sealant vary depending on the weather conditions. In 50-70 degree Fahrenheit weather, the sealant will skin over in 5 minutes, become waterproof in 4 hours, cure 80% in 48 hours, and reach 100% cure in 30 days. The manufacturers production date is located on the bottom of the tube, which serves as a reference point, not an expiration date. As long as the product is stored in a dry location and not exposed to extreme temperatures, it can last indefinitely. The ideal storage temperature range is between 55 to 85 degrees.
